It’s about getting the solution right
Every event is different. A generator suitable for one wedding might be completely wrong for another, while refrigeration requirements depend on the catering arrangements, guest numbers and available access.
We take the time to understand your plans, ask the right questions and recommend equipment that suits your requirements. We’re not interested in selling you the biggest generator or equipment you don’t need. Our customers regularly appreciate our honest advice and the fact we don’t push unnecessary extras.
Planning makes all the difference
Outdoor events involve plenty of moving parts, and the timing of our deliveries and installations is often just as important as the equipment itself.
When is the marquee being built? Will the catering tent be ready for us to install power? Where will the generator and chiller trailer be positioned? When does the marquee come down, and is there a Sunday brunch or lunch that means equipment needs to stay in place for longer? Access is another important consideration – for field locations, we may check access points, gate widths and turning space in advance using tools such as Google Street View, helping identify potential problems before we arrive on site.
These are all things we ask or work out with you as the client. These extra details help us coordinate with venues, marquee companies, caterers and other suppliers, avoiding unnecessary complications and potentially chargeable return visits. Yes, we likely cost a little more than an off the shelf hire company, but these details are what will make your event slick and streamlined.
Thinking beyond the equipment
A successful event often depends on things guests never notice. They simply expect the power to work, the drinks to be cold and the lighting to look right.
Our experience helps us think ahead. That might mean allowing for a DJ’s additional power requirements, positioning sockets for an evening pizza van or planning cable routes to avoid unnecessary runs across open ground.
We ask questions because we want to understand the whole event, not just the equipment listed on the original enquiry. Many times we’ll start with booking in power for clients, then as the plans come together added extras such as fridges, festoon or heating are added on.
The more we know in advance, the better we can prepare and the less likely you are to need additional equipment or another visit during setup.
