When Grizzly Bear Events started in 2019, we had two generators, a fridge trailer and a simple ambition: make hiring essential equipment for outdoor events straightforward, reliable and good value.
Since then, we have grown into an established event hire business. Supplying generators, refrigeration, heating, lighting, staging and catering trailers to events across the South East and London. Therefore, we’ve become more than just an event hire business, we’re thought of as the experts and come well recommended.
Growing our equipment range
As the business developed, so did our understanding of what customers needed. We expanded beyond generators and refrigeration, and began offering a wider complimentary range of equipment, helping customers source more of their event infrastructure from one supplier.
From marquee heating and festoon lighting, to staging and our Airstream-style catering trailer. Each addition has been driven by customer demand.
Building relationships and our team
One of the most important parts of our growth has been building genuine, long-term relationships with marquee & tipi companies, event planners and caterers. We are proud to have become a trusted, go-to supplier for businesses that rely on us. Not just for one event, but week in, week out through-out the busy summer.
Those relationships are built on reliability, straightforward pricing and understanding the pressures of working in the events industry.
Alongside these relationships, we have invested in our team and infrastructure. Developing an established yard, expanding our fleet of trucks and vans. Plus, bringing together full-time staff, delivery drivers and seasonal cleaning teams to support the demands of a busy events calendar.
Investing in the future
We have also explored government grant opportunities to support investment in new equipment and more sustainable event power solutions. These include battery-powered alternatives to traditional generators for low power demand use and modern low emission vehicles.
This year alone we have added four more refrigerated trailers to the fleet too, due to demand outstripping our supply.
